Wexford Walking Trails Festival
Wexford Walking Trails is delighted to invite you along to their 2024 Walking Festival. The chosen trails are suitable for all grades of walkers and while not in Courtown Woods, this is an event not to be missed!
The festival consists of three separate walks at three separate venues. Plenty of choice or why not walk all three!! You can also opt to join the evening dinner event in the Whitford House Hotel which will be held on one of the evenings.

Memory Walk for Alzheimer's
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland Memory Walk is coming back to Courtown for a second year!! There are 30 walks running across the country, one of which is here in Courtown.
Taking place at 11am on Sunday 22nd September, starting at the village car park entrance (the one by Active Tribe!) to Courtown Woods. Its for a great cause - the Society operates a daycare centre in Riverchapel, providing an amazing service.
You will need to register using the link below and there will also be an opportunity to donate on the day!

Bat Walk
Discover the hidden and magical and mysterious world of Bats! Meet the bats that call Courtown Woods their home, learn about their lives, their habitat, what they eat and so much more.
Hosted by Graeme from the Wexford Bat Group this is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about these fascinating and rarely seen creatures!
This evening walk begins at 7.30 pm at Car Park 2 or the Picnic Area at the bottom of the Red Row.
Sadly this walk is not suitable for smaller children or dogs and will last approx 2 hours (depending on the cooperation of the bats!)
This is a ticketed event and you must be registered to attend

Join local Storyteller and Forager Lorraine from Gallivanting.ie for this very special local history walk as we look at the Kilbride High Cross, Ballinatray Bridge, and some of the more special Trees planted by Lord Courtown!
Get to know your local woodland and its history on this walk!
